After graduation and post graduation from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, I was a faculty member at the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Then I became Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur before joining Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) as a faculty member. I retired from the ISI in 2021. Received the IASP Life Time Achievement Award in 2025.
