Experience

I have been teaching M.A and M.Phil students in the subject Population Studies for the past 8 years. I have taught the papers like fertility, mortality, migration, epidemiology and public health, statistics, SPSS, research methodology etc.
I have guided students of M.A, M.Phil students for their dissertations along with that currently I am guiding 4 Ph.D scholars.
I am currently a research consultant for a project on Unemployment in Nagaland funded by University of Hyderabad and also a Co-PI for ICSSR-Collaborative project on Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana (DAY) . I have also published papers in Elsevier and Demography India journals on population health.

I am Dr. Moatula Ao, working as an Assistant Professor since November 2015 in the P.G Department of Population Studies, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore. I was a gold medallist in M.Phil for the year 2012 (IIPS). I also completed my Ph.D degree from IIPS, Mumbai in the year 2019. In the year 2021, Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP) conferred me the prestigious Prof. K. Srinivasan award, for Best Substantive Paper published in Demography India Journal.
