I am an Associate Professor of Sociology at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. My research focuses on social and demographic transformations in South and Southeast Asia, examining demographic responses to social, political, and economic changes. I served as the sole Associate Editor for Asian Population Studies for nearly a decade. I was Vice President and am a council member of the Asian Population Association.
