Experience

I hold a Ph.D. in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, with strong academic training in demography, health statistics, and advanced quantitative research methods. My research experience includes working extensively with large-scale national and international datasets such as NFHS, LASI, UDAYA, and Global Burden of Disease (GBD). I have applied advanced statistical techniques including joinpoint regression, age–period–cohort modelling, multilevel analysis, panel data analysis, and geospatial methods. My research primarily focuses on reproductive health, adolescent health, ageing, morbidity patterns, mortality trends, and gender disparities in health outcomes.

Area of Specialization

Reproductive and Adolescent Health
Gender and Health Inequalities
Population Ageing and Multimorbidity
Mortality and Disease Burden Analysis
Maternal and Child Health
Joinpoint and Age–Period–Cohort Analysis
Survey Data Analysis (NFHS, LASI, GBD, UDAYA)
Spatial and Geospatial Analysis

Membership of other Professional Associations

Life Member, Indian Association for Social Science and Health (IASSH)

I am a Population Studies researcher and Data Analyst with strong expertise in demographic methods and health data analytics. My work focuses on understanding health inequalities, gender disparities, reproductive health, and disease burden in India and South Asia using large-scale survey and secondary datasets. I am skilled in statistical software such as STATA, R, SPSS, and GIS-based tools for spatial analysis. I am committed to producing policy-relevant research and contributing to evidence-based public health decision-making through rigorous quantitative analysis.
